Over the past several years I have been
asked about the history of Academy
Awards Posters on several occasions.

were produced by.  In attempt to answer

source, the Margaret Herrick Library of
the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and
Sciences.  Below is their response to my
inquiry.

The oldest Academy Awards show poster in
the collection of the Margaret Herrick
Library is the 32nd Academy Awards show
poster (show on April 4, 1960 honoring
films of 1959)
