Tim Nyhus started Hollywood Golden Guy in 2008 as a place to
share his passion for the Academy Awards, film, Classic
Hollywood, and Memorabilia collecting. He has a vast and
superior knowledge of Academy Awards related memorabilia.  He
has been collecting autographs  and Academy Awards - Hollywood
Memorabilia for the last 20 years.

He is a member of the UACC (Universal Autograph Collectors
Club), American Film Institute, and a voting committee member
of the Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy and Horror Films.

In February of 2011 he appeared on Time Warp USA  "Cine-Tsu"
a Japanese entertainment television show, as an Academy Awards
expert. He has consulted for internationally recognized auction
houses such as Nate D. Sanders Auctions and Doyles New York
and has been cited by the L.A. Times for memorabilia related
stories.  He has had the privilege to interview such classic film
stars as Ann Robinson, Noreen Nash, Ruth Terry, and Academy
Award Winner Joan Fontaine.

This site is a snapshot of his vast passion for film and collecting.
To date he has over 2000 pieces in his collection and has assisted
many collectors, sellers, and buyers with evaluation and
identification of their memorabilia. His other interests include
contemporary/classic film, historic film studios, theaters, and the
Academy Awards.

He currently resides in Washington State and in 2010 launched
www.ghosttownsofwashington.com, operating both sites under  
Gold Knight Publications.
